Launch a digital product in a weekend with Claude

A practical plan for going from idea to a live digital product in two days, with Claude doing the building: what to decide on Saturday, what the AI builds, what you test, and what to launch on Sunday.

You can launch a digital product in a weekend if you split the work properly: you decide what you're selling and to whom, and an AI coding agent like Claude does the building. Saturday is for the offer and the product itself. Sunday is for the site, the checkout, the test purchase and the first post that tells people it exists. This post is the plan, hour by hour, with what to say to the AI at each step.

What "digital product" means here

Anything you can deliver without shipping a box:

  • a PDF guide, a workbook or a template pack;
  • a short video course;
  • a paid call (with a booking link after payment);
  • a membership with a community, if you're ambitious.

For a first weekend, pick the first or second. A guide or a short course is something you can finish in a day and sell on day two.

Saturday morning: the offer

The biggest risk to a weekend launch isn't the tech. It's an offer nobody can describe. Before you open any tool, write these down:

  1. Who it's for, in one line. "Freelancers who dread doing their taxes."
  2. What they get, in one line. "A 20-page guide and a spreadsheet that gets your tax year sorted in an afternoon."
  3. The price. For a first product, cheap enough to be an easy yes: $19 to $49.
  4. One add-on for the order bump, at a third to half the price: the spreadsheet on its own, a checklist, a template.
  5. One next step for after payment: a 30-minute call, or a bigger version.
  6. A free gift for people who aren't ready: the first chapter, or a one-page checklist.

If you're stuck on the idea itself, that's a different problem. Pick the one you'd be embarrassed to not have tried, and give it the weekend.

Decide on Saturday. Build and launch on Sunday.

Saturday afternoon: make the product

This is your part. AI can help you outline, draft and edit, but the knowledge is yours, and buyers can tell. A practical approach:

  • Outline with Claude. "Here's who it's for and what they get. Give me a 6-section outline that gets them from X to Y." Edit it until it matches how you actually do it.
  • Write the sections yourself, fast and rough, then ask for edits: shorter sentences, clearer steps, a checklist at the end of each section.
  • Export to PDF. A clean Google Doc or a simple design tool is fine. Done beats beautiful on day one.

If it's a course: record five to eight short videos with your phone or screen recorder, upload them unlisted to YouTube or Vimeo, and write a paragraph under each.

Sunday morning: Claude builds the funnel

This is where the weekend used to fall apart. A sales page, a checkout, an add-on, an upsell, emails, delivery, analytics: that was weeks of work or a monthly platform. With Funnelr it's a folder you open in Claude (the desktop app's Code tab, or Claude Code), and a message like this:

I just bought Funnelr. Read AGENTS.md, install Funnelr, and help me launch my first funnel. I sell a tax guide for freelancers for $29. Add the spreadsheet as a $12 order bump, a 30-minute call for $79 as the one-click upsell, and a one-page checklist as the free gift. My brand: calm, plain, navy and mint.

What happens next:

  1. Claude asks a few questions you haven't answered: your domain, a support email, your business name for the legal pages. It suggests answers so you can just say yes.
  2. It builds the site: the sales page in a proven order (headline, the problem, what's inside, who it's for, the offer, the guarantee, FAQ), the checkout with the bump, the upsell page, the free gift popup, the order emails, the refund and privacy pages.
  3. It writes your copy from what you told it. Read every line. Change anything that doesn't sound like you.
  4. It puts your PDF where only buyers can download it.

You don't write code, and you don't need to understand it. You make the decisions.

Sunday midday: test everything with fake money

Before any real account is connected, Claude runs the whole site on your computer with a fake Stripe that "pays" instantly. It runs an end-to-end test (checkout, bump, upsell, download, refund, free gift, emails) and fixes anything that fails. Then it's your turn:

  • Buy it as a customer. Add the bump. Take the upsell, then do it again and decline it.
  • Open the download page and the files.
  • Look at it on your phone. Most of your buyers will.
  • Open the admin and check the test purchase is there.

If anything feels off, say so in plain words: "the headline is too long", "the upsell page should mention it's a video call".

Sunday afternoon: connect your accounts

Three accounts, each with a free plan to start:

  1. Cloudflare hosts the site.
  2. Stripe takes the payments. Test mode first.
  3. Resend sends the emails from your domain.

Claude walks you through each sign-up and tells you exactly which key to create and which file to paste it into on your computer. Keys never go in the chat. Then it deploys, and the setup checker (doctor) confirms every account, key and the domain are right.

Buy once with Stripe's test card. When everything works, switch to your live key, buy it for real yourself, and refund it. That one purchase proves money in, delivery, and refunds closing access.

Sunday evening: tell people

A launch nobody hears about isn't a launch. Keep it simple:

  • One post where your audience already is, with the link. Say who it's for, what it fixes, and the price.
  • One email to anyone who already follows your work.
  • Campaign links for each place you post, so the admin shows which one sold. Funnelr makes these in the admin, with short links like /ig.

Then go to bed. The funnel works while you sleep: the free gift collects emails, the checkout reminder follows up abandoned checkouts, the welcome series does its job.

Monday: read the numbers

The point of launching fast is learning fast. In the admin you'll see visitors by source, who clicked buy, who saw checkout, who paid, and who took the bump and the upsell. A few rules for reading a first week:

  • Few visitors? It's a traffic problem, not a product problem. Post more.
  • Visitors but few buy clicks? The page or the offer isn't landing. Test a new headline.
  • Buy clicks but few payments? Look at the checkout: the price, the trust signals, the guarantee.
  • Good sales, low bump take rate? Try a different add-on.

If it sells, double down. If it doesn't after a fair try, you lost a weekend, not three months and a subscription. Spin up the next one.

The weekend checklist

  • One-line who, what, price
  • Order bump and upsell picked
  • Free gift made
  • Product finished and exported
  • Funnel built and copy read line by line
  • Fake purchase, bump, upsell, decline, download, refund tested
  • Cloudflare, Stripe, Resend connected; doctor all green
  • Real purchase and refund
  • One post, one email, tagged links

More detail on the course version is in how to launch a course funnel in 30 minutes, and the full funnel is on the home page.

FAQ

Can I really launch a digital product in a weekend?

Yes, if the product is small (a guide, templates, a short course) and you let an AI agent build the site and funnel while you focus on the product and the offer.

Do I need to know how to code to use Claude for this?

No. Funnelr ships with a playbook the AI follows. You answer questions, read the copy, test the purchase and create your accounts. The AI writes and tests the code.

What does it cost to launch?

Funnelr is bought once. Cloudflare, Stripe and Resend all have free plans that cover a small launch; Stripe charges its card fee per sale. A domain is about $10 a year.

What should my first digital product be?

Something small you can finish in a day that solves one specific problem for one specific person: a guide, a template pack, a checklist with a walkthrough video.
